Location: Shoreside – London UK

Description and title: Cruise Ship Warranty Manager / After Sale Owner Representative

Role: Ship Owner representative during the warranty period after ship delivery, full time, permanent

 

Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Cruise Ship Warranty Manager and Coordinator to represent the ship owner during the warranty period after ship delivery. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing warranty activities related to ship operations, ensuring efficient processing of warranty claims, supervising corrective actions performed by the shipyard, and negotiating financial settlements with the shipyard. Additionally, you will track and analyse lessons learned for future projects and collaborate with the newbuilding team. The position requires occasional travel, both onboard ships in operation and to shoreside head offices of shipyards and owners for meetings.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

As the Cruise Ship Warranty Manager and Coordinator, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate warranty activities for ship operations, including tracking warranty claims received from ship officers.
  • Process warranty claims by liaising with the shipyard.
  • Coordinate and supervise corrective actions performed by the shipyard onboard.
  • Negotiate financial settlements for warranty claims with the shipyard.
  • Track and analyse lessons learned for future projects and share insights with the newbuilding team.

Requirements:

  • Good fluency in English with excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Demonstrates a dynamic and proactive approach to work.
  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of various ship components, encompassing technical, propulsion, HVAC systems, as well as hotel construction and design.
  • Consideration will be given to candidates with experience as a Cruise Shipbuilding Surveyor (either shipyard or owner side) in a technical role, as well as those with experience in Class register and ship technical superintendent positions.
  • Ship officers interested in transitioning to a shore-side role are also encouraged to apply.
